Don’t wait for the auction, purchase on the day you visit at Dunbar Warehouse in West Virginia.

November 22, 2008

You know how frustrating it can be to visit an auction, see what you want to buy, but then have to wait for the big auction day. On June 5 (2008) a new process started as the general public can purchase surplus the day a visit is made to the Dunbar Warehouse.

Surplus Property Manager Ken Frye says: “We have had in years past people from out of town stop by because they heard about us and wanted to see what we had.  When they learned they could not purchase an item during their visit, they would leave discouraged because it was not worth their while to place a sealed bid
on an item and then have to make a second trip back if they got the winning bid.”

As listed in The Property Connection, Summer 2008, vol. 24, issue 2

To learn more, visit www.state.wv.us/admin/purchase/surplus/public.htm This site provides a “Click Here” for a listing of item available. The auctions are conducted at the Surplus Property Warehouse at 2700 Charles Ave., Dunbar. For auction dates or for more information, call 1-304-766-2626. West Virginia also sells some items online via ebay. The weekly “Public Sales” consists of property only at the Warehouse in Dunbar.

We at moneysaverguru.com and carshareglobal.com believe this is an excellent way to meet the concerns in this economy and that they are offering excellent customer service by meeting the needs of the public by making it more convenient for people to save money and get what they want when they want it.

Less than $15 to fly to Europe from the USA. Too good to be true?

November 3, 2008

$15 Flights to Europe. If it’s too good and too cheap to be true, then it isn’t true!

Ryanair http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/ plans on offering flights from many cities in the U.S.A. such as New York, Los Angelos, Boston, and San Francisco to Europe for approximately $13.00. Amazing? Or not.

For those looking for a bargain, beware! They also plan on charging you for everything under those friendly skies. From REQUIRED travel insurance to credit card processing fees, you will pay the price. Add to these charges the use of phone, having a staff member assist you at the counter, and for any communication regarding your purchase and flight. While you’re on board, you’ll be badgered with things to buy from sandwiches to cell minutes to jewelry. If you think the peddling in Mexico is bad, imagine being strapped to your seat in an airplane with no place to flee.

So for those of you who are looking for travel on the cheap, stay away from this bargain because there is a confirmed reason why this sounds too good to be true.
